Data Deletion Instructions
How to remove the data Bookmatrix.com received when you connected a Facebook Page, an Instagram account, Messenger or a WhatsApp Business number, or when you signed in with Facebook.
1. What we receive from Meta
- Connection details: the IDs and names of the Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp Business account and phone number you chose, and the access tokens that let Bookmatrix.com receive and send messages or publish posts for them.
- Messages: the conversations between your property and your guests on those channels, shown in your Bookmatrix.com unified inbox.
- Basic profile: the name and ID of the Facebook account that made the connection.
We do not receive your Facebook password, and we do not use this data for advertising.
2. Delete it yourself (immediately)
- WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram: in Bookmatrix.com open AI → Integrations, open the integration and choose Delete. The access tokens and connection details are removed at once and we stop receiving new messages.
- Remove the app on Facebook: on Facebook go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites), select Bookmatrix.com and choose Remove. For WhatsApp you can also remove Bookmatrix.com as a partner in your Meta Business settings.
- Removing the app on Facebook revokes our access, but it does not erase messages already in your inbox. To erase those, use section 3.
3. Ask us to delete everything
Email info@bookmatrix.com with the subject Data deletion request and tell us the Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number (and, if you are a customer, the property name). We may ask you to confirm that you manage it.
- We confirm your request and delete the connection details, tokens and the related messages within one month.
- We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and accounting records (5 years under Greek tax law).
- Backups are overwritten in their normal cycle; until then they are not used.
4. Guests who messaged a hotel
If you sent a message to a hotel or rental that uses Bookmatrix.com, the property is responsible for your conversation and we process it on its behalf. Please ask the property to delete it. You can also write to us and we will pass your request to the property.
